Mario Lackner, born between Christmas and New Year’s Eve in 1978, started this blog on behalf of the creative company Traumsieberei. He is following the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) attentively and without interruptions since 1989. In Stockholm in 2000 he was as journalist at this unique live event for the very first time and covered stories out of the heart of the „Eurovision bubble“ also in 2004 (Istanbul), 2005 (Kiev), 2008 (Belgrade), 2010 (Oslo), 2014 (Copenhagen) and of course in 2015 (Vienna). After the ESC 2003 he suggested the European Broadcasting Union to change to the actual voting procedure, finally introduced in 2006.
Starting with his and Sankil Jones‘ bid „FiRE!„ for Austria’s national final and Armenia’s internal selection in 2012 he is consulting participating TV stations and hopeful artists. Mario Lackner is co-author of „Conchita Wurst – backstage„ and „Friede, Freude, Quotenbringer #60JahreSongcontest„ (innsalz¯ 2014/2015), illustrating his knowledge and intuition for Eurovision.
